Monday Madness
So it was our first ever Louis Riel day here in manitoba, I’m not quite sure what significance it is supposed to have other than the fact that Manitoba decided that a February holiday was needed and we needed a name for it so after a while it was decided it would be called Louis Riel day…so I guess we’ll see over the next few years how it develops.
It’s nice to have a day off, especially after a weekend where you don’t have time to relax.
My aunt and uncle came home from Hawaii on Friday night, so we were at their house for a while looking at their pictures, then I finally came home and slept in my own bed after 2 weeks.
Then on Saturday I had to get up early enough to head to the store to buy all the supplies for Fear Factor night at youth group. It was a good night, what amazed me was the fact that there were no prizes awarded, yet all the kids still volunteered to eat gross things, I was shocked as well that we had like 6 volunteers to drink a concoction made up of all the gross things we had set up on the table for the previous round….kids really like the challenge I guess.
Then Sunday there was church, we had some lady from the free press there, which made me kind of feel like we were on parade.
Tonight I was supposed to be at a meeting at the church for the worship committee, but I told Julie that I would not be going. It’s a holiday and the church has me so busy right now that I needed to take a rest. So I did, and that is how this week is shaping up.
