Can we really be surprised anymore?

My life is pretty busy these days, so I don’t watch as much TV. Saturday though is my big TV watching day, and I realized something yesterday while I was watching.

There really is no such thing as suspense anymore in ficitional TV. You might not know HOW something is going to occur, but you basically know that it will. For example I watched a movie called Ella Enchanted. From the beginning of the movie you know that she will get over her curse and wind up with the prince. It’s not worth watching.

I guess after years and years of movies and television, it must be hard to come up with new ideas.

Grrrrr

I thought they could only increase your rent once a year. I got this rental increase letter that I don’t really understand, but it looks to me like they will be raising my rent! It’s only 6 bucks, but to me it’s the fact that I signed a lease under the other rent amount and now it is going up? In the middle of the lease? GRRRR. Good thing I am thinking of subletting to move home and save money for CFOT.

I’m sick

I hate being sick…I hate season change which makes me sick. Blech

Poor little guy

There is a spider in my hallway going to the outside door. It builds a big web everyday, and everyday someone destroys it without killing the poor little guy. He works all day long and yet it is always ruined. Don’t you feel like the spider some days?

Apparently according to a new study Too much sleep is as bad for you as too little sleep. Read and article here. I guess I am in trouble because I sleep whenever I can.

Yay for weekends

Well I can’t seem to get back into the blogging groove. I’ve been thinking of shutting down, but alas I can not.

I am loving being at church these days. There is a whole different atmosphere than there has been for the past ten years. People are getting involved on every level. There are lots of Sunday School volunteers, songsters and band had the biggest turnouts they’ve had in years. People have signed up for other ministry opportunities. It’s freaking awesome. Things are definitly becoming more alive. I think that we have some exciting days ahead.

Well it is 11:18PM and I have just heated up some dinner. I have a new found love for east indian food. Although the stuff I am eating now is quite hot.

Nothing much new to report these days. I have filled out and handed in (tonight) my application for candidates fellowship.

I have not been home before 9PM and will not be for the rest of this week…it is crazy busy, but good. The problem lies in the fact that it is 11:23 and I am just now eating dinner…gotta let it sit for a few minutes before bed.
